The True Experiment
- The most rigid method of research is called the experiment, experimental methods, or experimental design
- With all else being equal, this is the preferred method of data collection
- Steps involved in doing an experiment:
- Determine the theory
- Define the variables
- Develop the hypothesis
- Design experiment
- Gather subjects
- Test subjects
- Analyze results
- Report findings
*Obviously before any research can be done, a review of the literature is necessary.
