Hi Kent, thanks for sharing your story. It’s interesting — the “power of forgiveness” is a simple idea in theory, but putting it into practice can take years of work.

I learned this when I committed myself to a shrink ward at Portsmouth Navy Hospital in 1987. I wasn’t suicidal, but I was homicidal. I learned it was much more positive to forgive than to hold on to past ideations. But it did take me about 5 years to forgive her.
